nesting cavities inside a facade

house sparrows nest in the nooks of old buildings; modern facades have none. a modular brick with a concealed cavity, sized to the standard brick grid so it drops into new builds and retrofits alike. cast in concrete cut with used coffee grounds, which is stronger and keeps pests off.

decision: two-piece wooden moulds, hand-castable
